Blizzard is resetting all progress in Hero’s Journey when the next major patch drops in December.
Blizzard has been very aggressive with updates and changes to Diablo Immortal. The recent update brought in another set of server mergers, limited-time events, 36 new Legendary Items, and various other updates.
One update that many players probably missed in the recent patch notes is the Hero’s Journey reset coming to Diablo Immortal in the next patch. We go over the details and what the reset may entail in this guide.
Hero’s Journey is an endgame rewards system in Diablo Immortal where players can earn in-game loot such as Crests, Aspirant’s Keys, Gold, and even Platinum. There are currently four chapters in the Hero’s Journey, each with unique objectives and rewards.
To obtain loot through Hero’s Journey, players must complete simple objectives listed in the Hero’s Journey, such as spending a set number of Paragon points, socketing Legendary Gems, and completing Challenge Rifts, among numerous other objectives and tasks. As you progress deeper into Hero’s Journey, the amount of loot you get increases significantly.
Hero’s Journey tasks get more difficult as you progress through the chapters, but the rewards for completing the last few chapters make it all worthwhile.
Hero’s Journey has four chapters that players can progress through in Diablo Immortal. Each chapter features a list of tasks players must complete before receiving the chapter rewards.
As mentioned above, you will face more challenging tasks and objectives as you progress through Hero’s Journey. To better understand the rewards and tasks you’ll encounter, we have listed all rewards and tasks for each Chapter in Hero’s Journey below.

Diablo Immortal’s November 22 Content Update brought sad news to fans of Hero’s Journey, as Blizzard is reportedly resetting all Hero’s Journey chapter progress for all players when the next major update arrives on December 14. This means players only have a few weeks to complete Hero’s Journey chapters and collect their corresponding rewards.
A few weeks might seem like a lot of time to complete the remaining chapters in Hero’s Journey. Still, you have to remember that some of the tasks in Hero’s Journey cannot be completed in a single day, as some tasks will only allow you to run through them a limited number of times per day or week.
While the reset might seem like bad news to players close to completing their Hero’s Journey in Diablo Immortal, Blizzard says all unclaimed rewards from previous Chapters will be sent to players’ in-game Mail when the update arrives next month. Still, with only weeks to complete the remaining objectives, players will most likely miss out on valuable loot. Chapter 4 rewards feature up to 24 Aspirant’s Keys, 1,200 Platinum, 1 Legendary Crest, and 50,000 Gold; to put things into perspective,
With that said, Blizzard says they will introduce a new set of chapters and rewards come December 14th. So it is not all bad news for Diablo Immortal fans, after all.
