Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a bang.
Blizzard just released the first Content Update for the year, celebrating the Lunar New Year with a new set of events, Cosmetic Sets, the new Season Nine Battle Pass, and a new set of Legendary Items for all classes in Diablo Immortal.
For this year’s first Content Update, Blizzard has added a special Lunar New Year Event called Tong-Shi’s Renewal. Like most events in Diablo Immortal, numerous rewards and exciting tasks are just waiting to be explored and conquered by daring adventurers.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Tong-Shi Renewal event, including the tasks and rewards you can expect to get by participating in the Lunar New Year Event.
The Tong-Shi Renewal Event will run from January 16 at 3:00 a.m. to February 6 at 2:59 a.m. server time. This should give players enough time to breeze through all the tasks available on the event page and collect all the corresponding rewards for the entire event.
In its most basic form, the Tong-Shi Renewal Event works in a Task-Reward system where players can complete Tasks and get rewarded for completing the said tasks in Diablo Immortal.
Rewards are given in the form of Red Bags, which players can also send out to friends as gifts. Players will be rewarded for sharing their Red Bags with other players.
Another type of reward in the Tong-Shi Renewal Event is the Tseym bag, which you can turn in on the event page to get small rewards. In addition, a Server-wide progression system tied to the Tseym bags will count toward Server-wide milestones that should see players receiving Battle Points. Players who can collect and turn in 88 Tseym bags will also receive a random Legendary Item for their current class.
Players can also simply log in on specific dates to collect various rewards, which we have listed in the section below.

In addition to BP rewards, you can get additional small rewards for each Tseym contribution you make towards the Server Progress.
The Tong-Shi Renewal Event rewards should help players regain their motivation and start the new year right in Diablo Immortal. Collect as many Red Bags and share them with other players to get random exciting rewards.
On the other hand, collect as many Tseym as you can and help your Server progress through the milestones to get Battle Points and even the chance to get a random Legendary Item for your character in Diablo Immortal.
